Nursing home violence
They need to be fed a special way so as to prevent aspiration of food into the lungs. They have to be turned constantly in bed to relieve pressure points so they do not develope life threatening bed sores. When one becomes an Early Childhood Worker or babysitter, the Ontario government says you can care for no more than five preschool children per ECE worker. Sometimes the needs of my residents are more demanding than those of a toddler--So why are the conditions for those I care for left in some Victorian era standards that are comparable to Oliver Twist's sad plea for mercy and more gruel? .
Hip-Hop Rumors: Inside The Grammys, Fantasia's New 'Do, The New Fergie ...
I can't say, but Tyrese is very excited about the project. I don't know if that says anything, but it sure shows a stark difference in opinion. But all hope isn't lost! Tank said that hopefully through prayer they will be able to get past the ego thing. Three Six Mafia is on hand at the Grammys because they are nominated for that "UGK" song "International Players Anthem" (they have production credits on that song) and DJ Paul said he was actually with Pimp C two days before he passed. Pimp C was in L.A. that week because he was recording a song with DJ Paul. Also backstage at the Grammys was Ludacris manager Chaka Zulu who told Kendra G. that he was going to watch what he had to say because he didn't want to end up on ALLHIPHOP.COM! Well Chake Zulu...what's up! More to come with Kendra G.

MAYOR'S CHIEF OF STAFF TO LEAVE CITY: Dave Grenell, chief of staff to Richmond Mayor Gayle McLaughlin, plans to leave the city at the end of the year to study government policy abroad. Grenell, 34, will spend about eight months in nine European countries through the Marshall Memorial Fellowship, a 26-year-old program that encourages participants to work together on international and domestic policy challenges. Some of the best ideas, particularly in environmental and social issues, have originated outside the United States, spurring Grenell's interest to apply for the fellowship, he said. Ireland, for example, banned plastic bags years before San Francisco became the first city to prohibit it in this country. "I think government needs to be about pursuing the best ideas available to solve problems," Grenell said.
Qtrax free music player disappoints
Qtrax had promised a working beta last night, but we knew there was going to be problems after visiting the website. The company warned that downloads weren’t yet available and posted this message on the site. "We're thrilled with the massive response we've received. To ensure the best user experience, we're activating accounts in stages. In the meantime, enjoy all the functionalities of the Qtrax player like importing and playing your music and searching for artist-related content." Disregarding the warning, we downloaded the 9.4 MB install program anyways. After the install, the program scans your hard drive for music and appeared to crash several times during the process. We had to continually close and restart the program to get Songbird working again.
Comebacks, penalties part of ECHL stat revelations
Deeper in the statistical summaries from the league's first 131 hockey games in its 20th-anniversary season, though, were some gems that might have gone unnoticed. Like this David vs. Goliath match-up of coincidental roughing penalties on Nov. 2 -- Bakersfield's Justin Chwedoruk, all of 5-foot-9 and 170 pounds, gave up a few inches and pounds to Victoria's Kiel McLeod (6-6, 235). Or check out the plus-minus bonanza enjoyed by Reading defenseman Shawn Germain on Oct. 20. He clocked in at plus-6 in a 6-4 win at Johnstown. Talk about your statistical aberration -- Germain is a combined minus-1 in 12 other games. At least he's not Augusta's Eric Lundberg, the defenseman who authored a minus-5 in a 6-3 loss at Columbia on Nov. 2. To be fair, Lundberg is merely a combined minus-1 in nine other tilts.
McClard's family questions justice
We were hoping people in court would take the recommendation of the director of the Department of Youth Dual Jurisdiction Program who testified in court on Jonathan's behalf. Instead, he got themaximum sentence possible. Jonathan had been reading his Bible and was coming back to God. He saw a way out and a way to put himself in a much better place. He took himself directly to God where he is now. There is great comfort in that for all of his family who know God because we know we will be reunited. There is great pain and suffering now. His life has been cut short and the potential of what he could have contributed with maturity is now gone. Carol McClard, Jonathan McClard's grandmother. .
