Disney Movies
Two developers, Kevin Rafferty and Robert Coltrin, had devised an idea for a new California Adventure ride that would juxtapose the old-fashioned romance of a carnival midway with high-tech video game elements. They had a hunch that "Toy Story" and "Toy Story 2," the Pixar films about toys coming to life, would provide a good theme. But they didn't know much about carnival games. "We looked at each other and said, 'Are the games we remember from our childhoods even relevant anymore?' " Mr. Coltrin said. At the fair, the two were thrilled as they walked through rows of game booths wooden structures that carnival operators call "stick joints" to find crowds enjoying classic games like the ring toss and water guns. "We were like, 'Score!' and gave each other a high-five," Mr. Coltrin recalled.
Rio's Decadent Days in Full Swing

Oceans’ Growing Acidity Alarms Scientists
Don't kid yourself even though since 1992 this has been on the table not one of the above have really instituted the finding of the Rio Conference of KYoto. The USA has not signed the agreement and won't until the madman Bush leaves office and the rest of the NEOcon squad with him. The world has been asking for USA leadership and the reduction of CO2 but that will not happe for another year. But even if the US does it China will never join the bunch nor will India. There really isn't any quick fix. I am a filmmaker and have worked on the environmental change issues since 1978 so I have a fair amount of experience to speak. While LED light-bulbs is good and 40 MPG for cars is better it is not the at least the 80MPG that is necessary and refits for all existing cars rather than exporting them to the developing world which is presently being done and will pick up speed as restrictions rise in the western world.

Dentil moldings, modern baths, and pond views
Having no garage is a small price to pay for a sunny historic house just off Route 2, with views of Spy Pond, and walking distance to Arlington Center. A driveway can handle two cars, and the side mudroom entry makes it easy to dump outside gear. The front entrance makes a statement up a slight hill from the main road (keeping the inside quiet). It is painted pale pink with a bold portico; this, combined with concrete steps and mature plantings, beckons toward an inside that is mostly true to its era, but also includes updates. It's a bit abrupt to enter into the living room, but the wonderful older features distract from that concern - coffered ceilings, stained-glass windows, dentil molding, and narrow hardwood floors. A medium-sized dining room shines with a magnificent half-round triple-panel window.
