Hi-Tech Beauty-Buster Fixers
Whether your problem is thinning hair or acne, there are a few hot, new products on that claim to take away everything from wrinkles to too much hair. The products use some of the same technologies that a dermatologist may have used on you -- lasers, LED lights, and infrared light -- and you can use them all in your own home. But do they work? "These products provide at-home versions of procedures typically performed in a doctor's office: light treatments, laser hair removal, or chemical peels," says Linda Wells, editor in chief of Allure magazine. "In terms of at-home treatments, this is just the beginning." Wells and some Allure staffers visited The Early Show Wednesday and reported on the effectiveness of products the staffers tried for several weeks.

I don't care if they come with a padded wagon and a white jacket, I am not going to do it. I will never, never cut the tips of my fingernails straight across so they can be in style with today's fingernail fetish. I recently noticed that Robin McGraw (wife of the notorious Dr. Phil McGraw) had her fingernails cut straight across at the tips. Wondering if she had gotten caught in the family lawnmower or if, once again, I was running far behind the style wagon of women's fads and fashions, I asked my stylish daughter about Robin's fingernails. 'Like look-alike mannequins, most women try to market themselves by the way they look. Into this outer cesspool of insanity goes the flesh. If anything slides south, they have it pulled further north and stapled... .' Not to my surprise, she replied softly "It's the style, Mother.

Super Bowl Sunday is upon us, and in my opinion, the biggest story isn't the perfection of the New England Patriots. It isn't whether another Manning can win a Super Bowl. Or even if "Spygate" will hang over the whole thing. It's halftime. Ever since the "wardrobe malfunction", the NFL has chosen "safe" acts for its biggest stage. This year, it turned to "American Idol" judge Paula Abdul, who -- many, many years ago -- had a music career. Now, she wasn't the most gifted singer or dancer, nor was she the most attractive musician, but somehow, she maintained a career long enough that she got the producers of one of America's top shows to buy into her. Her behavior on that show often is cringe-worthy, but it's nothing compared to what she is up to now. You see, Ms. Abdul wants to pre-tape her routine, because, ummm, she is too nervous to perform live.

You have serious problems in Corpus Christi. The town needs to promote N.Padre Island, waiting for the few developements in the city limits to do it, is nuts. The fact that the Airlines turn up their nose to C.C. is one example of the demise in the business Climate in Corpus. A 30% decline in home sales on the island in 2007 shows how important that Beach Vote was to Corpus. We can't blame that decline on Foreclosure and Mortgage market. That decline came because people who wanted to invest in the ground floor opportunity on the island, backed out. Due to the Intrawest deals failure. Few in Corpus Christi value Out-of-State people and the money they transfer to the community.... I know ! Warm Regards,Former resident of 78418 (Suggest removal) .
