Steiner Ranch Dermatology Offers Breakthrough Acne Laser Treatment

Steiner Ranch Dermatology announced the addition of Isolaz, a revolutionary light-based treatment for eliminating acne, removing unwanted hair and rejuvenating aging and sun-damaged skin."The start of the new year is often a time when people resolve to remove barriers to happiness and confidence," said Dr. Ted Lain, Steiner Ranch Dermatology. This new technology gives patients a powerful way to achieve clearer, healthier skin more quickly and more easily than ever before."Through the combination of a vacuum and broadband light to cleanse and refresh pores, this technology represents the only light-based treatment for acne with 3 distinct advantages over less advanced laser-based solutions: it is painless, delivers overnight results and enables patients to resume normal activities immediately after treatment. As the only FDA-approved system for both comedonal and pustular acne, the new approach is broadly effective, capable of quickly and dramatically clearing acne for the vast majority of patients, even those traditionally non-responsive to treatment.Steiner Ranch Dermatology is dedicated to providing patients with the broadest possible range of safe and effective treatment options for skin conditions ranging from acne and rashes to skin cancers and sun damage.

Patients Seek Better Results in Nonsurgical Cosmetic Treatments

WALTHAM, Mass., Nov. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Physicians attending the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery in Chicago were invited to a Hot Topics session on the latest advances in plasma skin regeneration. Co-moderated by Richard Fitzpatrick, MD, and Christopher Zachary, MD, the session focused on new studies, expanded protocols, treatment of acne scars, skin tightening -- especially around the eyes -- and delivering CO2-like results with less recovery time. Presentations were made by a world-renowned faculty that included Drs. Kenneth Arndt, Brian Biesman, Jeffrey Dover, David Goldberg and Nathan Uebelhoer.

According to David Goldberg, MD of Skin Laser & Surgery Specialists of New York & New Jersey, "The reason why this technology all of a sudden is becoming very exciting is that the whole pendulum with what we are trying to accomplish is swinging back with patients wanting to see some results.

Give our troops funding, support

We are perceived almost universally as the world's bully--the modern day equivalent to the old USSR Foreign policies and hidden (oil) agendas are the current downfall of this administration. There would be no terrorists in Iraq if we had not invaded Iraq for the hope of cheap oil In the real world, calling our troops illegal, immoral, occupiers, soviets and terrorists is slamming our troops. Some have also presented the alleged conduct of a couple bad apples as the norm for our military as a whole. You guys may as well throw in baby killers. These statements amount to slander because you guys are willfully and knowingly misrepresenting the true reason that they are there with malicious intent. You guys are giving aid and comfort to an enemy during a time of war. It is immoral, unpatriotic, anti-American and amounts to an act of treason.

The NFL regular season has come to a close and the Cleveland Browns just missed making the playoffs. A few weeks ago it sure looked like they were in good shape as far as the post season was concerned, but I guess it just wasn't meant to be. Still, the Browns did register a victory over the San Francisco 49ers in their final game and there will be high hopes for this team entering the 2008 season. The Brownies finished with a 10-6 record, far exceeding expectations for this team entering 2007. This is the first time this franchise has reached a double digit win total since they re-entered the league in 1999. They provided many thrills for their die hard fans this season and belive me it was long overdue. I grew up in Cleveland and have been a life long Browns fan, so the following opinion might be a bit bias.

Bush grants Navy waiver from sonar ruling

What has the Navy up in arms is a Jan. 3 decision by U.S. District Judge Florence-Marie Cooper in Los Angeles that restricted use of sonar in war exercises planned off the coast of San Diego and other Southern California counties through January 2009. The next such exercise is set to begin around the middle of next week and last several days. The ruling, called an injunction, bars sonar use within 12 miles of the shore and in an underwater canyon stretching from Santa Catalina Island off Orange County to the Navy-owned San Clemente Island west of San Diego. The canyon has a large concentration of wildlife. The Navy likes to train in Southern California's shallow waters and underwater canyons, as they teach sailors how to detect submarines in an environment where enemies love to hide. Because of the canyons and shallow ground, and because of the thick concentration of animals, there are many sounds and they tend to ricochet in all directions, Navy officials say.

24 Star D.B. Woodside, John Cullum to Headline The Conscientious ...

24 star D.B. Woodside will play Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Tony winner John Cullum has been cast as President Lyndon Johnson in Keen Company's upcoming off-Broadway production of The Conscientious Objector. This new play by Michael Murphy will begin performances at the Clurman Theatre on Theater Row on March 4 and open on March 18. The limited engagement is scheduled to continue through April 19, directed by the company's artistic director, Carl Forsman.

In early 1967, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. informed his advisors that he intended to play a major role in the anti-war movement, advocating immediate withdrawal of all U.S. troops from Vietnam. No major figure of Dr. King's stature had yet been willing to take such a dramatic stand, and King knew he would be turning past allies like President Johnson into powerful enemies.
